PUU SÜÜ (2020)

is a series of woodgrain inspired minimalist abstract nature prints with a limited colour palette. The prints have been created based on original paintings on wood.

'Puu süü' in Estonian means 'the tree's blame', and 'puusüü' is also a word for woodgrain. If it weren't for the beautiful pattern of woodgrain on the board I painted on that day, these prints would not be here. So I blame the tree.
